WOYWW (well I'm actually a day late) My mojo is finally coming back!!

Hi, I feel like I'm finally back from a deep black hole. As you can see from my previous post it has been some months since I last was here...2012 was a difficult year, but I'm sure 2013 will be a blast!

Today is the first time in 6 months that I've actually had the desire and the energy to create some art.  I've entered a swap in one of the groups I was heavily involved with in the past.  The brief was to create a Zentangle...a what I hear some of you say?  Well I'll add a link showing you some that others have made, but here is my attempt. I'm quite pleased with them.  Especially when each one is done individually with only the central face image being a stamped image.

Well enough rambling, here's what I've done.

Original stamped image

One of the 7 created

All 7 zentangles

Other Zentangles you might want to check out (by various other artists)
Well, that's it for now...thanks for stopping by to have a look and hopefully I'll be able to make regular contributions as in the past.

:)

PS...I realised after I uploaded the images that they weren't all spot on.  I will send one of my ATCs to the first person to let me know what they think the problem is...start looking and good luck!

  6. Welcome back! Your zentangles look great! I took a class from Suzanne McNeil and it was way fun. But I must admit, I haven't done much with it. I think I'm more of a doodler.

    Happy WOYWW

    1. Thanks Kay...yes it is lots of fun, but very time consuming. Those 7 took me over 5 hours to create. I'm glad you like them.

Sorry I am 2 days late getting to your blog. I have been battling a nasty flu bug.

    1. I didn't share mine because it is a mess and has some of my husbands home maintenance stuff and his weights.

  10. Hi Nicky. I'm glad you like what I've done. I've been playing catch up on some swaps from last year (I got sick and wasn't able to complete them) so hopefully over the next few weeks I'll be able to post what I've been doing.

It is lots of fun looking at what everyone else is doing...it is just a matter of finding the time. There are some really talented people out there and it is so wonderful that they so willingly share their work and ideas.

    Thanks again for stopping by.

  11. Hi Nicky,
I reckon zentangle No 5 has a problem with the B&W stripes in the 'hair' of the lady on the left side as I look at it.

  12. Visiting this post from next week's WOYWW.....Should the bottom left ATC have black stripes in the hair????? I'm in awe of your patience to create all these!

  13. You forgot to leave the website addy for the Zentangles.
Also...the 8 X 10 canvas looks like it is not black but grey.

I hope your mojo continues at the pace of which it is at the mo...you go girl!

  14. Welcome back girl! I know it's always great to get going on your art again. I think I've spotted the difference in the ATCs. The first ATC on the bottom row left hand side doesn't have her line next to her face colored in like the others do. :)

    1. They're lots of fun aren't they. You are correct in picking up my omission (which I later corrected).

  16. Hi Great work. The bottom left has a black & white stripe missing on the left side.

  17. Great zentangles, I haven't tried doing them around a stamped image. Will give it a go. The bottom one on the left looks as if it's missing some black stripes on the left hand side on the hair. Great effort.
